Founders

The Story
Johnson Brothers was founded in 1994 in Madison, WI, when Michael
Johnson began by selling coffee at the Dane County Farmer's Market
and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
From there, the business has grown to where they now roast on a
pair of Probat
Roasters and travel the world to meet with producers and source
the best coffees.
Passions
"Just the best coffee" is their motto.
To them, "the best coffee" means sourcing "Relationship
Coffee" - finding the best beans and developing working relationships
with the growers, and buying from these growers on a Fair Trade
basis. Johnson Brothers uses third-party certification for their
Fair Trade coffee through TransFair USA, so there is documented
evidence that the coffee is truly Fair Trade.
